Coaching Workshops & Courses:

If you are volunteering at the club in 2025 and you are a coach or looking at being a coach, please register as a coach asap if you haven’t already done so.  When you register it will let you know course dates and times if this applies to you.

Step One:

The Age-Specific Community Coach Online Learning courses are the first step toward becoming an accredited Rugby League coach. These courses equip coaches with essential knowledge about their role, the players they will be coaching, and effective ways to teach the game positively.

Accessible anytime and completely free, the online courses provide flexibility for aspiring coaches. Upon completing the online modules, coaches receive a temporary accreditation, allowing them to begin coaching before attending an in-person workshop.

Click here to access the Online Modules for the following age groups: 6-7, 8-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16-18, and 19+

Step Two:

The Community Coach Face-to-Face Workshop is the second step in the accreditation process and the final requirement for anyone coaching a team in 2025.

This workshop provides coaches with valuable hands-on learning, covering essential aspects such as understanding their players, ensuring safety, building strong relationships, fostering a positive learning environment, and effectively teaching the game of Rugby League. The cost of the face-to-face workshop is $20.00, this cost includes a coach’s pack (football and markers) and upon completion, coaches will receive an updated certificate and a 4 year accreditation.

6-7 Coach Workshop – NRL Learning Centre – Community Coach (6-7’s) Workshop

8-12 Coach Workshop – NRL Learning Centre – Community Coach (8-12’s) Workshop

13 – 18 Coach Workshop – NRL Learning Centre – Community Coach (13-18’s) Workshop

Coaches for teams U19+ are not required to do a face to face workshop.

For Existing Coaches:

If you attended the Community Coach Face-to-Face Workshop for ages 6-12 in 2024, you do not need to attend another workshop in 2025 – unless you are moving up to coaching Under 13s or above.

However, if you are coaching a new age group within the 6-12 range (e.g., moving from U7 in 2024 to U8 in 2025), you will need to complete the eLearning module for that new age group.

Once completed, you will receive a certificate with an extended expiry for the new age group. You do not need to attend another face-to-face workshop unless you are moving to an age group you are not accredited for.

Note that all volunteers will be required to get a BlueCard.  More information is located under “Club Info / Rules”.
